About Us

20170424_200543The Delmar Community Orchestra is a nonprofit organization funded solely by donations. The orchestra rehearses weekly during the school year and offers four public concerts a year, also performing at local nursing homes.

We welcome anyone over sixteen years old who can read music and is comfortable with basic musical notation. We do not hold auditions. Many of our members are returning to an instrument they began in school but gave up somewhere along the way. Others have had a close relationship with music all their lives.

Our conductors are professional musicians and music teachers who know how to bring out the best in each member. The only way to find out if you are a good match for the orchestra is to give it a try!
